OUR TEAM

Jacqueline Velez
Jacqueline Velez is an accomplished advocate and organizer who joins us with over seventeen years of experience in grassroots mobilization and policy reform. Jacqueline’s career has been defined by her deep commitment to intersectional justice—ranging from criminal justice and housing to environmental and public health advocacy.
Jacqueline’s journey began in New York, where she spent five years with the Women in Prison Project at the Correctional Association of New York. During this time, she also served as the Outreach Coordinator to grow the membership of Women on the Rise Telling Herstory, and amplified marginalized voices as a co-host and producer for WBAI Pacifica Radio's, "On The Count: The Prison and Criminal Justice Report".
