OUR TEAM

Dana Colihan, (she/her), is Co-Executive Director of Slingshot. In this role she supports community groups fighting contamination across Maine, co-facilitates the National PFAS Contamination Coalition, and helps oversee the operations of the organization across the Northeast. Dana worked as the Maine State Director at Community Action Works for four years, organizing with communities to clean up and prevent pollution. She supported the closure of the toxic out of state waste loophole that allowed for Maine to become dumping ground for the region, worked with residents in Fairfield to get the DEP to take stronger action on PFAS, and helped communities to pass environmental protective ordinances from stopping pesticide spraying to preventing extractive metallic mineral mining. She graduated from Oberlin College, where she was involved in Palestinian solidarity organizing.
