Hayley is the Vermont and New Hampshire State Director at Slingshot, where they work closely with community groups to tackle environmental health threats and build collective power. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Hayley moved to Vermont in order to study Spanish and environmental justice at Middlebury College. After graduating in 2019, they spent three years as the Vermont and New Hampshire State Director with Community Action Works, working alongside community groups to protect drinking water, implement environmental justice policy, and shut down proposals for toxic waste transfer facilities, landfill expansions, and leachate dumping. When not holding polluters accountable for their actions, Hayley coordinates the Viva el Sabor culinary collective, interprets at the Open Door Clinic, and serves on the board of Migrant Justice.
