Shannon is the Development Coordinator at Slingshot, where she works closely with our network of donors to harness/mobilize their support, empowering Slingshot to continue its critical work organizing alongside frontline communities. Shannon grew up on Long Island, near Fire Island National Seashore, before moving to New England to study climate change and environmental justice at Harvard. After graduating, Shannon got more involved in fossil fuel divestment efforts, working as a Campaign Fellow at Harvard Forward. Along with a team of alumni, Shannon contributed to a campaign electing three petition candidates to the board, the first to be elected since Desmond Tutu in the 1989 apartheid divestment movement.
